What is Diastasis Recti?
Diastasis recti is a condition characterized by the separation of the rectus abdominis muscles, commonly known as the "six-pack" muscles.
During pregnancy, as the uterus expands to accommodate the growing baby, the connective tissue between these muscles, known as the linea alba, may stretch and weaken, causing a gap to form.
How Does it Present?
There is a visible bulge or ridge that runs down the center of the abdomen, especially when engaging in movements like sitting up or performing certain exercises.
